Effective Corporate Communications: Building Relationships with Media

    Why join the workshop?

The workshop will provide you with techniques, and “do’s & dont’s” in writing and submitting effective press releases. It will also point out important considerations when organizing a press conference.

The workshop will be facilitated by Ms. Pennie Azarcon-dela Cruz, a senior newsdesk editor at the Philippine Daily Inquirer and former Executive Editor of the Sunday Inquirer Magazine.

She has been writing for popular media for the past 30 years and has handled writing seminars and workshops for at least 20 years. She has also edited and authored various publications for mainstream and alternative media, and has a National Book Award for Anthology as well as a Quill Award for travel writing.

There will also be guest speakers from the media after the workshop.

What did others say about the workshop?

“The workshop was indeed beneficial to our functions as corporate communicators. The topics presented validated the things that we have been doing right, and helped identify areas that need improvement. It helped that Ms. Pennie was a very efficient resource person. Her insider tips were indeed very helpful. ” - Lemuel Oratorio of Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc.

“I learned new things and validated some concepts and ideas I already have. What definitely was most special for me in that 1-day event was meeting new friends from varied entities and being able to work/collaborate with them on some course requirements despite being together for only a short period of time.  ” - Chebelle Velasco of Girl Scouts of the Philippines

“Though this was just a refresher for me, it was good to undergo the training again as it helped relearn the practices.  ” - Rhoda Santos of SN Aboitiz Power-Magat, Inc.
