Sadly, “creativity” has long been relegated to the realm of the artist. For far too long, we have heard people say “I am not creative enough” or “I’m not an artist, so I cannot be creative”.
Let’s get something out of the way: creativity is NOT artistry.
In this workshop, we will explore and understand the true nature of creativity in the context of human function. We will look at how our creativity works and how we can harness our own innate abilities to become creative both on a personal and a professional level. From this understanding we then look into “innovation” and what that means vis-a-vis creativity in the workplace. The workshop culminates with techniques on how you, and your team, can harness the power of creative thinking to bring about meaningful change and value to the business.
At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:
Identify creative functions and characteristics in themselves and others in order to maximize and channel energies into meaningful endeavors
Utilize creative constraints as a means to develop creative and innovative works
Adopt a structured creative process in developing ideas and innovations
Entry-level personnel with serious goals or being groomed for upward movement and leadership positions
Professionals from (traditionally thought of as) “non-creative” fields such as IT, finance, engineering, and the sciences
Middle-managers and those supervising teams
Designers, communicators, artists, and those engaged in the creative fields, particularly those who develop creative outputs for clients and business.
