    In this digital age where messages can be instantly delivered through online or social media, it has become more urgent for writers to find and express ideas in a narrative that can hook readers with ever-shortening attention spans.

    Concise writing is essential as it saves time for both the writer and the reader - the effort spent on trivial and long writing is a waste of time, and readers can process and retain important messages faster. This is why knowing how to construct direct-to-the point and impactful sentences is a valuable skill.

    This workshop will try to address that need by exploring good writing habits and putting them into practice, and will put a premium on creative non-fiction as a tool for effective writing.

    The workshop is ideal for individuals who regularly communicate through writing, such as bloggers, writers, journalists, marketing or communications professionals - basically anyone who wants to review and improve on their writing skills for better engagement and interest. People whose leisure activities or line of work heavily involve writing will find this workshop highly beneficial.

    Requirements:

     

    Participants must have a good grasp of basic grammar and English composition. To facilitate the workshop, participants must bring either laptops or tablets.
