Why join this face-to-face workshop?
This workshop aims to empower individuals with the skills to communicate clearly and confidently in the workplace. Participants will learn to recognize barriers to effective communication and develop strategies for expressing their ideas and needs clearly and confidently when interacting with team members, customers, and suppliers.
The course will cover mental models for assertive thinking, crafting assertive messages, giving feedback, and utilizing non-verbal cues. Through self-reflection, simulation exercises, and action planning, participants will gain practical experience applying assertive communication techniques to various scenarios.
At the end of the workshop, the participants would be able to:
- Identify personal challenges and other factors that hinder assertive communication
- Apply practical strategies for developing assertive behavior, including mental models and assertive thinking techniques
- Demonstrate effective feedback-giving skills and other assertive responses in various scenarios
- Develop strategies for sustaining assertive skills and behavior change over time
Methodology
- The workshop will be conducted face-to-face. The workshop will include lectures, and written activities as an assurance of learning.
- Class size will be limited to a maximum of 20 participants.
