MINDFULNESS IN THE WORKPLACE: Improving your Focus, Creativity and Decision Making

Why join this face-to-face workshop?

We live in a busy world and often move quickly from one task to another in autopilot mode. We focus more on planning for the future, reviewing the past and rarely see ourselves living in the present moment. This results in stressful and dissatisfied employees and therefore affects work output. 

This program will discuss some basic tenets on mindfulness and meditation, and how regular practice can contribute significantly to work performance and overall well-being. Participants will learn some easy exercises they can do from home as they start each workday or when there is a need for a respite in the middle of a stressful situation.

In engaging in mindfulness practices, participants nurture:

  • Focus and clarity in the present moment 
  • Deeper self-awareness and curiosity
  • Kindness towards self and others (empathy)
  • Receptiveness towards necessary changes in behavior

 

Methodology

  • The workshop will be conducted face-to-face. The workshop will include lectures, and written activities as an assurance of learning.
  • Class size will be limited to a maximum of 20 participants.
