It has been said that content is king, but with so many messages being communicated to us on a daily basis, many important messages naturally get drowned out. In this digital age where messages can be delivered via social media, it has become more urgent for writers to express ideas in a narrative that can hook readers with ever-shortening attention spans.

With today’s technology, everyone can write articles or publish their opinions online, but few can engage readers consistently with clarity of presentation, power of emotion, and strength of the narrative, while at the same time reacting quickly to ongoing developments and riding the tide of popular or trending topics. The workshop will allow participants to learn how to write and publish stories for their chosen target audience, specifically optimized for online consumption, either through websites, social media feeds, newsletters, press releases, or blogs. These techniques can be applied to writing as a hobby, for social media content, marketing communications, journalism, or for events.

Methodology

• The workshop will be conducted face-to-face. The workshop will include lectures, and written activities as an assurance of learning.
